Like enigmatic dragonflies (Aeshna verticalis), these constructs are filled with delicate tensions of compressed energy that is held back by the mood-defining bolts. The polished metal and glass are restrained together to allow light to reflect and refract continuously projecting a luminosity engulfed by ephemeral shadows which becomes ever-changing in daylight as the sun traverses the skies.

I mitt arbeid konsentrerer jeg meg hovedsakelig om lys, visuell opplevelse og skulpturens dialog med interiøret, arkitekturen eller landskapet. Lys, gjennomsiktighet, gjenspeiling og refleks er hovedmomentene i Verticalis prosjektet.Skulpturene står stille, men solens vandring og tilskuernes bevegelse fører til forandringer i form og intensitet. Forandringene oppstår også når glass og polerte metaller gjenspeiler sine omgivelser og bevegelsene rundt seg. Gjennomsiktighet og reflekteringsevner åpner samtidig for fysisk bearbeidelse av skulpturens indre rom. Det er lyset som former skulpturen.
